This tutorial demonstrates how to temporarily disable protection by ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus. Click Setup → Computer protection. 3. Click Pause Antivirus and antispyware protection. 4. Select the length of time you would like to disable protection from the drop-down menu and click Apply to continue. 5. Remember to re-enable Antivirus and antispyware protection after you are finished troubleshooting or installing other software applications by opening the main program window and clicking Enable Antivirus and antispyware protection (Antivirus and antispyware protection will be turned on automatically if your computer is restarted).
