I have been shooting/reviewing the new Samsung NX1 and was disappointed when nothing the NX1 recorded was actually watchable on my iMac. This is because the NX1 records in H.265 codec, the next generation of video codecs that is currently young and unsupported by both Apple and Adobe. Though this will change in the future, for now H.264 is still the standard. So how do you convert? I struggled to find a good option that didn't cost a fortune, and discovered this free program that you should absolutely use if you plan to shoot with the NX1 prior to the H.265 support.
