Executive Summary This presentation demonstrates a series of structured design steps used to develop an Airport Security System targeted for deployment on an international scale. The PACT framework standing for people, activities, contexts and technologies is the method used to analyse potential users and their possible interactions with the system. The results of our analysis revealed exciting opportunities in providing security solutions for threats which are becoming more prevalent in today's society, such as terrorism and biochemical attacks. Another exciting outcome of our analysis was the development of situational based threat response which was motivated by the diverse range of users each having unique ways to responding to threats.
