Ltd. has developed a master slave system for robots using their FST, flexible sensor tube,that allows for comfortable and intuitive control of a robotThe FST has joints placed every 5 cm which transmit information about the location, motion and form of the tube to the robot and controls the robots movements. Kyokko has successfully made an FST system with 200 joints to provide easy and comfortable movements. By using the buttons and joystick on the controllers the robot can be moved in many directions, and with the head mounted display and a camera, the operator can also see what the robot sees and what is around it. Along with industrial robots and expanding the control system, Kyokko Trading is also considering implanting the master control system directly into clothing to provide more freedom of movement for the operator.
