Kubrick's 9th - A Clockwork Orange - Number as a Theme

http://bit.do/dgeRj Secret sale page at Orange-Themes.
A Clockwork Orange Analysis. A Kubrick-film makes of its number its theme. A Clockwork Orange is Kubrick's 9th film. Therefore, the 9 (nine) is the main theme of ACO. Everything in ACO is shaped or refers to the CHARACTER of the 9. That doesn't mean that ACO is about the 9 alone. It's eg. also about the RELATIONSHIP between the 9 and all other numbers (single and double/multi digit numbers). Other 'number equals theme' examples: *KUBRICK'S 8th - 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY. 8=INFINITY. The 8 is the lemniscate, the symbol of infinity. The 8 equals the (infinite) feedback loop, which you can hear in the 'touching the Monolith'-scene. Space Station V is shaped like an 8: the double loop connected in the middle. *KUBRICK'S 10th - BARRY LYNDON. The hero (1) zero (0) theme. *KUBRICK'S 11th - THE SHINING. The doubled 1 (11). The double/mirror/pair-theme. *KUBRICK'S 12th - FULL METAL JACKET. The one (1) being two (2). Duality (of man). An interesting book about the character of the numer is MICHAEL S. SCHNEIDER'S "A BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO CONSTRUCTING THE UNIVERSE". In 2012 I published an article on wordpress in which I try to introduce the concept of the number used as a theme in Kubrick-films. https://makingtheshining.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/makingtheshining.pdf
