Extracting Images from PDF Files for re-use in Adobe InDesign is easy if you have the right tools. One such tool is Markzware PDF2DTP for InDesign. Since you are going to re-use the images in Adobe InDesign, may as well extract them within that application. Re-using images can be dangerous. It may be tempting to copy and paste images from a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation or MS Word file into InDesign. It looks fine on screen, but can be a preflight nightmare. From missing image (not editable) to RGB color space, be careful. Also, InDesign's own Package will not see these links or images and will not warn you of issues with using them!
