Without Men

Eva Longoria and Christian Slater star in this comedy adapted from James Cañón's novel 'Tales from the Town of Widows'. When the men from a small Latin American village are conscripted for a guerilla war, the women band together to keep life going, taking on male roles in the process. Rosalba (Longoria) is elected as mayor and in an attempt to reproduce a new male population the women enlist the help of local priest Rafael (Oscar Nuñez). He isn't up to the task in hand but luckily a reporter, Gordon (Slater), arrives looking for a story and he might just turn out to be the man the villagers need.
